BroadwayWorld, MAC and Bistro Award-winning vocalist Jeff Harnar presents a Special Encore performance of his 1998 critically-acclaimed show Because of You: Fifties Gold on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7:00 PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Harnar will be joined by Music Director Alex Rybeck on piano, Steve Doyle on bass and Dan Grosson drums. Director is Sara Louise Lazarus.
Because of You: Fifties Gold taps into Harnar’s parents’ record collection, highlighting songs from the Tony Bennet, Johnny Mathis, Nat “King” Cole, Doris Day and Johnnie Rae songbooks. Along with the title song, included are “Hold Me! Thrill Me! Kiss Me,” “Smile,” “It’s Not For Me to Say,” a special nod to the Novelty Songs of his childhood, a Doo-wop Medley and “Memories Are Made of This.” Harnar is the winner of The Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award. He has released four solo recordings including “Because of You: Fifties Gold” (Varese Sarabande).
