Jack Bartholet’s Lady with a Song Plays at Pangea on Friday, January 25th

Jack Bartholet has made peace with his inability to save the world with his new cabaret Lady with a Song, but says he’s still “gonna try, dammit!” Bartholet covers existential crisis to rage and war—all in dress up. The smooth tenor says good bye to toxic masculinity and violence in an evening of wide-ranging numbers from Weimar Cabaret songs to Lizzo and takeaways from a Spotify search. Lady with a Song plays its last date at Pangea on Friday, January 25 at 7 pm. Developed, in part, at The Orchard Project, the show is directed by Julian Fleisher and Musically Directed by Yasuhiko Fukuoka, featuring Matilde Bernabei

Jack Bartholet’s first solo cabaret Two Drink Minimum played The Duplex as well as London’s Phoenix Artist Club and The Pheasantry. He has sung with Our Lady J, The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and recently appeared in Rocky Mountain Repertory’s production of Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver. He also spent several years away from musical theater in the world of artist management and festival direction. Bartholet was both an artist in residence and a producer at The Orchard Project in 2017 and 2018.
