Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Natalie Douglas and more Join Gregory Jacobs-Roseman for I Hate Cake, A Birthday Cabaret at The Green Room 42, tonight, May 30 at 9:30 PM. Music director is pianist Mark Hartman (Sondheim On Sondheim, Avenue Q, 2022 Drama Desk nominee, three-time MAC Award winner and Backstage Bistro Award for Music Direction).
Another year older, award-winning musical theatre composer-lyricist Jacobs-Roseman unwraps brand new music for a one-night-only birthday concert of world-premiere songs! The evening of new musical theatre features songs from shows currently in development, cabaret stand-alones, resurrected trunk tunes, and possibly a premature Christmas number or two. With humor, heart, and the occasional existential spiral, Gregory’s songs explore love, friendship, midlife plot twists, and the audacity of hope.
