Interactive Museum of Broadway Is Set to Open in the Summer of 2022

The first permanent museum dedicated to the Great White Way, the interactive Museum of Broadway is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2020. Conceived by four-time Tony Award® nominated producer Julie Boardman and Diane Nicoletti, founder of award-winning experiential agency Rubik Marketing, visitors to the multi-floor museum will experience Broadway via artists, designers and theatre historians who have come together to create this lasting legacy of Broadway musicals, plays and theatres.

Features of the museum include:

A visual history of Broadway from its birth to the present day highlighting theater’s pioneers, landmark moments of social change and pivotal shows that transformed the landscape of Broadway in a series of immersive installations.

• “The Making of a Broadway Show,” an exhibit honoring professionals onstage and off who bring Broadway plays and musicals to life every night.

• A retail store, created in partnership with Creative Goods, that will sell show-specific merchandise to bespoke products from small local businesses.

The Museum of Broadway is founded in collaboration with Playbill, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Billy Rose Theatre Division at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, The Al Hirschfeld Foundation, Concord Theatricals, Goodspeed Musicals and other partners.
