Take a trip back to the Roaring Twenties of the last century with variety singer Gordon Michaels and Take Nine’s Flapping in the Roaring 20s, on Sunday, January 24 at 2 PM ET. The all-new concert, with Michael Larson on piano, streams on Facebook. The concert will also be posted to Michael’s Youtube channel on Monday, January 25.
The Roaring Twenties was the time of flapper dresses and the Charleston dance, when the music of the period shaped much of the jazz and blues of today. Michaels and company explore the tunes of Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Cole Porter, Fats Waller and many more.
There is no charge for Flapping in the Roaring 20s, but donations are greatly appreciated as is support of keeping music and entertainment alive during the pandemic.
