Gingold Theatrical Group (GTG) has announced that in lieu of the 2021 Golden Shamrock Gala, GTG is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with an online Irish Poetry Slam on Wednesday, March 17 at 6 PM EST. The event will feature Robert Cuccioli, Tyne Daly, Melissa Errico, Jessica Hecht, Daniel Jenkins, Andrea Marcovicci, Tonya Pinkins, Thom Sesma, Renee Taylor, Sally Wilfert, Karen Ziemba and more.
Not a fundraiser per se, but a party and virtual open mic, Gingold’s extended family will share snippets of works by favorite Irish writers—be it a poem, an excerpt, a saying, a song, or a toast! GTG promises “lots of virtual treats and surprises.”
Throughout the evening, attendees are invited to join in and volunteer offerings by their favorite Irish writers. Participants will be limited to under 3 minutes, to include as many guests as possible.
Those who just want to watch, toast and add good vibes to the room are more than welcome, too. “So please come as you are,” according to GTG, and bring something Irish to share or just BYO—something to toast! Either way, we look forward to celebrating with you!”
The Irish Poetry Slam takes place over Zoom. Please RSVP by registering at the link here by Monday, March 15th (there is a cap to the amount of guests who can join via Zoom). A confirmation and a link will be sent accordingly.
