Gabriela Martina a Boston/New York-based composer, vocalist and producer who has performed her original music worldwide and has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, will appear at Club Bonafide on Friday, September 21st at 10 PM. She’s joined by an international group of musicians, including Jharis Yokley (United States) drums, Kyle Miles (United States) acoustic and electric bass, Maxim Lubarsky (Ukraine) piano and keyboards, Jussi Reijonen (Finland) fretted and fretless guitar and Ben Rosenblum (United States) accordion.
Gabriela Martina has worked with the likes of Meshell Ndegeocello, Jack DeJohnette, John Medeski and Angelique Kidjo. She has recorded with veteran drummer J.R. Robinson and performed at 2009 Montreux Jazz Festival with guitarist Lee Ritenour’s band as a semi-finalist in the Shure Voice Competition. Her debut album No White Shoes earned a 4-star review in DownBeat Magazine. Martina’s upcoming album Hommage to Grämlis, is a tribute to the farm in the Swiss Alps where she was raised.
