My latest photo journal features Janie Press, capturing moments from her debut show Fascinating Rhythms, Celebrating 14 Years of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Songs, at Don’t Tell Mama on Wednesday, June 3.
The show was directed by multi-award-winner Lennie Watts, with musical direction by fabulous pianist John Fischer, supported by multi-MAC Award-winner, bassist Matt Scharfglass.
Press sang to a crowd of friends, paying tribute and sharing stories about winners of the Gershwin Prize over the years. It was a fun evening of songs, with warm moments. It brought back memories for the audience!
