Deborah Stone Presents “Take Me Back” at Pangea on Sunday, January 22

Singer Deborah Stone is unplugged, and offering a one-time only, encore performance of her solo guitar show, Take Me Back, on Sunday, January 22 at 1 PM at Pangea. The show, which was performed at the recently at the Urban Stages/Winter Rhythms festival, is directed by Lina Koutrakos.

In Take Me Back; Stone revisits her musical roots as a part-time troubadour in New York City and her years as a folk-guitarist/singer in Greenwich Village. She’ll offer tunes such as “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” (Bob Dylan), “Both Sides Now” (Joni Mitchell), “Diamonds and Rust” (Joan Baez), “You Can Close Your Eyes” (James Taylor) and more.
 
A native New Yorker, Stone has been a concert dancer, actress and singer on the East and West Coasts. She was in the L.A. cast of La Cage aux Folles, among other credits and entered the world of cabaret in 2016, performing in New York City at The Beach Café, Pangea, The Metropolitan Room, The Triad, Don’t Tell Mama, and most recently The Laurie Beechman Theater. In Kansas City she worked with pianist John Cook at The American Jazz Museum’s Blue Room.
