PIANO BAR LIVE! is taking the country by storm, Monday nights at 7pm at Brandy’s Piano Bar, with fans watching the streaming from Arizona to Florida, from California to Rhode Island. The Piano Bar is that special place where we can gather, entertain, support and create a healthy sense of community, while connecting with live music. If you can’t be in our live studio audience at Brandy’s, you can watch PIANO BAR LIVE! produced by ScoBar Entertainment, streaming at www.facebook.com/PianoBarLive this Monday and every Monday, at 7pm, to chat on Facebook with old friends and new, as we watch together.

Joining Piano Bar Maestro, MICHAEL McASSEY at the keys, with co-host, “singer/slinger,” Bobby Belfry, is a veritable Who’s Who of Piano Bar, Cabaret & Broadway! PIANO BAR LIVE! is an interactive, live-streaming Piano Bar experience. THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE for PIANO BAR LIVE!  but there is a two drink minimum.

Guests for January 27th include Lauren Mufson, Sean Patrick Murtagh, Russ Goeltenbodt, Austin Sprague and Tim Connell.

LAUREN MUFSON  is a singer, actress, entertainer and teacher. Her passion for live performance began early when, at age 11, she chose to sing Janis Ian’s “At Seventeen” a capella for a community theatre audition. Yes, it was the saddest song ever written, so she belted it. Merman-belted it and found her joy. Lauren starred as Donna in the Broadway and National Touring companies of Mamma Mia! Off-Broadway, she appeared in Kari Floren’s The Porch (Altered Stages) and Voices of Swords (Urban Stages), William Finn’s A New Brain (Lincoln Center) and Elizabeth Swados’ Groundhog (Manhattan Theater Club). Lauren has worked at Brandy’s Piano Bar most of her adult life and has 2 daughters.

SEAN PATRICK MURTAGH was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and began his artistic pursuits while in elementary school. After a little success in the print/commercial world, he dove into theatre and fell in love. The journey brought him from San Francisco to Orange county, where he earned a B.A. in Drama from the University of California, Irvine and appeared in many of their mainstage shows, as well as produced his own concert in the Claire Trevor Theater. Sean has had the great pleasure of working with some of the best our industry has to offer, including Andrea Marcovicci, Robert Cuccioli, Victoria Clark, Teri Ralston, Paul Gordon, Joshua Finkle and many more individuals whose contribution to the performing arts helps to keep it young, fresh and alive. The ultimate goal being Broadway, he is creating a life and career in theatre and hopes to get just as much out of it as he is able to contribute.

RUSS GOELTENBODT is the Entertainment Director for Drew’s on Halsted. Along with Producer, Denise Tomasello, Russ has brought live music and Cabaret back to Boystown with his monthly Cabaret Show that includes guest singers.  Russ and Denise are booking the finest cabaret acts in Chicago to Drew’s on Halsted, creating a supper club atmosphere with their new music venue. Russ has been a mainstay on the Chicago music scene for years, from his days of singing at Gentry on Rush, State and Halsted, to Monday Night Live at Petterino’s and Davenport’s Piano Bar. He also currently sings at St. Gertrude’s in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. Russ has had four highly-acclaimed, sold-out concerts at The Skokie Theatre: Let’s Hear It for the Goy, Oy to The World and My Goyfriend’s Back, to the recent No Foolin’, which also marked his debut at the cabaret of Davenport’s Piano Bar.

TIM CONNELL, a new face that’s been around awhile, returns to PIANO BAR LIVE! for a second time. He made his critically acclaimed Carnegie Hall debut last May with the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s All The Things You Are and joined a roster of esteemed vocal artists at the 30th Anniversary Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center in October. His recent cabaret piece, Shades of Romance, had its debut at The Triad in November.  Coming up, he’ll be debuting It’s the Irish in Me!, at Pangea on the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 16, 2020.

AUSTIN SPRAGUE is a copywriter by day and a piano bar performer by night! This is his first real show and he is thrilled and thankful to be here.
