Christine Andreas Stars in a Cole Porter Tribute at Dizzy’s Club, on Sunday, July 17

Created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer, Songbook Sundays at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club, continues on Sunday, July 17 at 5 PM and 7:30 PM. The program, Anything Goes! Cole Porter and More Cole Porter, stars Christine Andreas with Allison Blackwell. Musical Director Joe Davidian on piano leads a multi-generational band of jazz stars, including Zoe Obadia on alto saxophone, bassist Russell Hall and drummer Evan Sherman, with young JALC vocal favorite Robbie Lee.

This fun summer jam celebrates the racy wit and jazzy tunes of America’s sophisticate-songwriter, featuring Porter’s well-known songs like “Night and Day,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “I Get A Kick Out of You,” “Just One of Those Things” and many more. Winer will interweave stories about Porter with the musical numbers.

Tickets for Songbook Sundays are $35, with student tickets available at $20.  There is a $21 food/drink minimum.  Both performances will be live-streamed, with virtual tickets available through the JALC website at $10. Jazz.org/dizzys
