Broadwar stars Carole Demas and Ilene Kristen are joining together with music direcroe Ian Herman to perform Still Standing on Friday, July 9 at 7:30 EDT, live online and on demand.
The two met in Grease and have been friends ever since, sharing a dressing room and creating the characters of Sandy (Demas) and Patty (Kristen). As friends, they have appeared together in numerous events for charity and in various venues in New York.
In addition to creating the role of Sandy, Demas also created the title role in The Baker’s Wife. She also created leading roles in numerous other shows, various soap operas and primetime TV dramas. Demas starred in the beloved and long-running (12 years) TV show “The Magic Garden.” Her versatility has been seen on camera in principal roles in over 200 commercials for television, and on film, she starred in the 300 Year Weekend, as well as in The Space Works, The Disapointments Room and more. In her concert and cabaret work, she’s appeared in major venues and rooms in New York and beyond.
