Canadian Songstress Emilie-Claire Barlow Performs in Birdland Theater from Friday, March 31 through April 2

Canadian songstress Emilie-Claire Barlow celebrates the release of her 13th album, Spark Bird, at Birdland Theater on Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM each night, kicking off her first-ever US tour. Joining  Barlow will be her Canadian band comprised of Amanda Tosoff (piano), Kelly Jefferson (tenor saxophone), Reg Schwager (guitar), Jon Maharaj (bass) and Fabio Ragnelli (drums).

The Juno-Awarded vocalist has established herself as one of the most gifted musical minds from Canada, with a Spotify stream in the multi-millions. In her 25-year career of delivering an accessible style of vocal jazz, Barlow has received seven Juno nominations, with two jazz vocal Juno awards—2013’s best Jazz Vocal Recording for her all-French song collection Seule ce soir and her Clear Day collaboration with the Metropole Orkest in 2016. Also in 2013, Barlow won a Felix Award for Seule ce soir as ADISQ’s Album of the Year—Jazz Interpretation. Previously, she had been named Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2008 National Jazz Awards.
