Cabaret Legend, Andrea Marcovicci, Sings Jerome Kern, Today, Valentine’s Day, to Benefit the Actors Fund

Although she officially retired from the stage a few years ago, Andrea Marcovicci is presenting a special program, A Kern Valentine, today, February 14 at 7:30 PM ET to benefit the Actors Fund. Marcovicci is joined virtually by Brad Ellis on the piano. For those viewing on Facebook, a live video chat after-party will follow the performance. The concert can also be viewed on YouTube. It’s free, but donations are very welcome

The music of Jerome Kern is part of a vast repertoire that reflects Marcovicci’s enduring popularity and her dominance on the stage of the storied Algonquin Oak Room for a quarter of a century. She created over 40 shows exploring the Great American Songbook. She was a pioneer of the thematic style of show that told a single story through an evening of song. Beyond the cabaret stage, Marcovicci also performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and in halls throughout the world. Her solo albums include I’ll Be Seeing You: Love Songs of WWII, Here There and Everywhere, December Songs, The Songs of Frank Loesser, Andrea Marcovicci Sings Rodgers & Hart, and As Time Goes By: The Best of Andrea Marcovicci, among many others.
