Cabaret Class at the 92nd Street Y Begins With Auditions, on Wednesday, January 29

The  92Y School of Music presents a cabaret class, “Exploring Cabaret,” meeting on Wednesday evenings for 13 sessions, culminating in a group performance. Class size is limited, with auditions taking place this 1/29/2020 and the class beginning the following week.

Instructors are Mary Feinsinger and Michael Kirk Lane, who promise that the class will be a “warm and fun one,” with students supporting and encouraging each other’s work. The class is open to all levels of experience. Learn how to choose the material that is best for you, about the nuance of song interpretation, stage presence and microphone technique, and more. The class culminates with a performance at Don’t Tell Mama, open to the public. Sessions include a technical rehearsal and performance.
