BariToned “I Hate Men” Plays at Birdland Theater on Wednesday, November 7 at 9:45 PM

The vocal trio BariToned will be in concert on Wednesday, November 7 at Birdland Theater at 9:45 pm with their show I Hate Men—a tribute to the strong women of musical theater. Starring Edward Miskie, Joe Hager and Kyle Hines, with arrangements by Dan Pardo and choreography by Brooke Martino, I Hate Men is a comical vocal romp featuring custom mash-ups of favorite Broadway songs such as “Bring On The Men,” “Always True To You,” “Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair,” “That’ll Show Him” and many more.

Edward Miskie is the creator, founder, producer and head of BariToned. He’s played such roles as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes, Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf in Into The Woods, Fred Graham in Kiss Me Kate, Adam Pontipee in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and many more. Miskie brings glimmers of each of these gents to BariToned. Recently, Edward published a book on cancer survivorship framed in musical theater called Cancer, Musical Theatre, and Other Chronic Illnesses, which is available on Amazon and Kindle.

Joe Hager, who has been reviewed as “a bold baritone with deep, rich tones,” is a founder of BariToned. Hager spent years on the Seven Seas as Dennis Dupree in Rock of Ages with Norwegian Cruise Lines and spent a long run on the road in the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast as Gaston. He has also been seen in a touring The Phantom of the Opera (Monsieur Richard) and Seven Year Itch (Tom MacKennle) at the York Theatre, among other credits.

Kyle Hines has played Adam/Lazarus in the NY Times Critics’ Pick and Drama Desk Award winning play, The Mysteries at the Flea Theatre and Captain Grizzle Beard in the NY Times Critics’ Pick and Off-Broadway Alliance Award winning musical The Pirate La Dee Da at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Most recently he played Jesus in the Infinity Theatre Company’s production of Godspell.
