A Virtual Live Reading of A Christmas Carol, Starring Raúl Esparza, Begins Streaming on Friday, December 18

Virtual live reading of Charles DickensA Christmas Carol is being presented by Primary Stages on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 8:00 PM, followed by a post-show virtual reception. Thereafter, through Sunday, December 20, free flexible viewing will be available. The show was adapted by Theresa Rebeck and Erin Daley, and directed by Rebeck, with Raúl Esparza as Ebenezer Scrooge. The cast also features Mary Bacon, Abadi Bacon Leynse, Kimberly Chatterjee, W. Tré Davis, David Mason, Krysta Rodriguez and Matthew Saldivar.

This Christmas classic tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the mean miser who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve, and transformed by them, to help a family in need. In that spirit, the special live reading is a benefit for Primary Stages’ Tiny Tim Teen Programs, including Free Student Matinees, Teenwrights, and TixTeen.
