Several years ago, we launched the Who Was Who! series with singer-songwriter Charles DeForest, who was active in New York’s clubs from 1954 until his death from metastatic colon cancer in July of 1996. Now, Vaughn DeForest, nephew of Charles, is working toward ensuring that the legacy of his uncle has an online home.
“Lest his superb musical talent be forgotten,” reports Vaughn,” it has been my hope to create a website for those of us who knew and may wish to remember Charles, as well as for those who might wish to explore and/or perform his music.”
