Vocalist Meg Flather‘s new show, Walk Home, plays at Don’t Tell Mama on Thursday, February 13 at 7 PM with music director, Tracy Stark. Directed by Lennie Watts.
When New Yorkers were told it was “safe” to walk outside during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, Flather did so with a carefully curated playlist of female singer-songwriters sounding in her ears. Soon enough, the likes of Suzanne Vega, Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Snow, Rickie Lee Jones and Carly Simon and many others had started “walking Meg home”—a double entendre of Flather’s past listening play lists revived in the present… and also made into an album!
