Suzanna Ross will present Bewitched, Not Bothered, Not Bewildered on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Triad Theater (158 West 72 Street, NYC) at 7 PM. The show includes all of the songs on her debut CD by the same title. MAC Award winner and music director Gregory Toroian (also the arranger on the CD) is on piano with Skip Ward on bass and David Silliman on drums.
From jazz and pop, to French chansons, bossas and movie songs, Ross sings in both English and French (Aznavour and Jobim) and draws from a wide range of jazz standards, as well as a few lesser known tunes. There is an English and French version of “Over the Rainbow” in the earlier part of the show, and later, after entering the 1960s, there are songs by French composers from the “Ye Ye” generation, British pop, Antonio Carlos Jobim and more.
