Sue’s Views: It’s Award Season!

By Sue Matsuki***Today, instead of a Sue’s Muse, we’re talking about Award Season and how the potential anxiety it produces can sometimes chip at our souls.  In this video, and written on Sue’s Views blog, I discuss in depth the way Award Season can make many of us feel. Some will get a nomination. Some will win. Some will not win. Some will be seen by reviewers for the Bistro Awards, many will not. If you are not seen, how can you be judged against the winners if the pool of people being reviewed is a small sample of the entire community? None of this diminishes your talent. None of this should diminish the honor of a nomination even if you do not win. None of this should diminish your believing in yourself and your worth and talent when you submitted your name, even if you did not actually get the nomination.
