Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Tom D’Angora

This man is INCREDIBLE! He is pure JOY and light! He, along with his husband Michael, are both theater and TV producers, directors, writers, fundraisers and now they are the new owners of The West Back Cafe and The Laurie Beechman Theater. Newsical: The Musical, Naked Boys Singing, Harmony, How to Dance in Ohio are just a few of their theater productions…Emmy, Drama Desk, Outer Critics, The Drama League are just a few of the awards they have been nominated for and/or have received.  Please click on the links below to learn more about both of their impressive backgrounds.

Michael could not join us because he was down at the restaurant getting ready for the re-opening. Be prepared for some wonderful surprises on the “face lift” in the restaurant and the theater and on the menu. Let’s all show up to have dinner on the 23rd and show them the love and support they have always shown our community.

Many of you, I’m sure, already know of this power couple when they produced the fundraiser right after Covid to keep The West Bank open and then again this past year. Although it has been announced already, The West Bank will be re-opening on January 23rd…Chita Rivera’s Birthday and The Laurie Beechman will reopen at the end of February with a big gala night fundraiser (not for the theater, event and headliner to be announced soon).

These are two very good men who have spent their young lives devoted to the arts and to our community.  Please meet the delightful, smart, impressive and funny Tom D’Angora.
