Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Rob Davis

So… at a recent party, I’m talking with a guy I’ve known for years on the singing and open mic circuit, and discovered that not only does he sing, but he’s also a songwriter and an author. And—most surprising to me—he founded and has been the Chair for a major philantrophic organization for over 25 years. Help for Children is a global nonprofit that deals with child abuse. How did I not know this? It seems that this distinction was just part of his “other life.” Listen to him tells us about how he started as a major player on Wall Street to becoming, to me, a hero. Please meet the Rob Davis that I hardly knew!

Unfortunately, because Rob was so interesting in how he got to be where he is today, we talked a bit longer than the Zoom meeting allowed. I tried to do a 2nd interview to post finishing up on our conversation but it didn’t “take”. What we finished discussing is Rob’s focus on child abuse issues comes from a personal connection which has motivated him all these years to keep working for these children.
