Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Brenda Liz Henry

This young woman is SO impressive. “Dr. Henry” by day (yes, she is a major PhD smarty pants) and soon to be “Diva Henry” by night, she is a remarkable woman who advocates for anyone in need, and, oh yeah, boy can she sing! I had the pleasure of hearing her several times at my Open Mic. Each time she brings something different in terms of feel or genre—from church to soul to funk—and it always impresses me. I think she can literally sing anything! I am really looking forward to her solo cabaret debut, A Boogie Down Bronx Tale. (See dates and ticket link below.) This show features the ever-busy Gregory Toroian Trio and is directed by the equally busy Lina Koutrakos. I can’t wait for this show and I also cannot wait for you all to meet and hear another new kid on the block…Brenda Liz Henry!
