For Broadway hopefuls Byron St. Cyr and Steven Ferezy, the burning question has been: “What would Stephen Sondheim say?” The pair have answered themselves with their cabaret show, Sondheim and the City, at The Duplex (61 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014) on Monday, March 19th at 9:30 PM. Sondheim and the City features memorable moments from the television phenomenon, Sex and the City, paired with the Stephen Sondheim song catalogue.
After taking a break from the stage, Byron St. Cyr turned to cabaret with his shows, Old French Whore and 4600 Mithra: My New Orleans, which earned him a 2018 MAC Award nomination. The New Orleans native, who plays jazz saxophone, explored musical theater while at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. During that time he began digging into classical voice, and after graduating he began his theatrical career touring the country in Miss Saigon and My Fair Lady, and in regional productions.
Steven Ferezy returns to The Duplex with his second original piece. Over the last decade, he has lent his talents to countless benefits, concerts, and readings. His regional credits include: A Chorus Line, Funny Girl, Beauty and the Beast, and Fiddler on the Roof.
