Singer-songwriter Spencer Day, the #1 Billboard jazz/pop performer, who’s been seen from Lincoln Center to the Hollywood Bowl, celebrates the New York launch of his album, Broadway by Day, on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 at 7:00 PM at Chelsea Table+Stage.

Broadway by Day features theater songs not typically heard in a pop/jazz context, reimagining them with genre-blurring arrangements from swing to Latin. The album is at once a reexamination of beloved musical theater songs and a showcase for Day’s various talents and styles. Highlights include a new take on Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Bali Ha’i” (South Pacific), a reworking of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s “I’d Be Surprisingly Good For You” (Evita) and a pensive exploration of Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin’s “Maybe” (Annie).

Among Spencer Day’s credits are his 2018 release, Angel City, recorded will full orchestra at Capitol Studios and its first single, “72 and Sunny,” which was put into rotation by Sirius XM Chill and featured in DJ Kygo’s “Palm Tree Summer Playlist.” The album’s second single, “Angel City,” was the #1 Most Added track from the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart, in addition to being #1 Most Added track on the Groove Jazz Music Chart. Day’s earlier album, Vagabond, peaked at #11 on the Billboard Album Chart and stayed on the chart for 47 weeks. His recent album, Daybreak, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart.

Tickets are $55, which includes a $15 food and beverage credit.

Chelsea Table+Stage is located at 152 West 26th Street, NYC
