BY ROB LESTER**** Come hear songs from Tony-winning musicals sung by a cast of bright young talent, produced, directed, written, and hosted by New York impresario, Scott Siegel, the creator of The Town Hall’s signature series, Broadway by the Year (soon to complete its 17th critically acclaimed season), and more than 300 major Broadway style concerts, plus countless nightclubs shows. He will be joined by his long-time musical director, Ross Patterson, to put this special Tony-centric concert up on the Metropolitan Room stage, located at 34 West 22 Street in Manhattan. Hear songs from Hamilton, Kinky Boots, Fun Home, Side Show, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, The Bridges of Madison County, Guys and Dolls and more. Each summer, there’s a special event prepared by Scott Siegel (pictured below in photo by Russ Weatherford). It takes place at The Town Hall with Broadway songs performed by recent graduates from many musical theatre-training programs and universities, who are chosen by audition, rehearsed and coached and matched with suitable material. The young talents become that year’s Broadway’s Rising Stars, a launching pad for professional theatre careers and many have been featured in later Siegel shows at that historic venue, Feinstein’s/54 Below, and the Metropolitan Room, individually or as members of the ongoing chorus, sharing the stage with Broadway veterans. June 8’s concert features bright young singer-actors who have been part of this experience, too.
