PIANO BAR LIVE! rolled into its sixth month stronger than ever, Monday nights at 7pm at Brandy’s Piano Bar on the Upper East Side. The Piano Bar is that special place where we can gather, entertain, support and create a healthy sense of community, while connecting with live music. Joining Piano Bar Maestro, MICHAEL McASSEY at the keys, is a veritable Who’s Who of Cabaret and Broadway! PIANO BAR LIVE! produced by ScoBar Entertainment, is an interactive, live-streaming Piano Bar experience. THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE for PIANO BAR LIVE! but there is a two drink minimum.

ELENA BENNETT is a critically acclaimed entertainer and producer. She has performed all around the world as a solo act, with combos and with big bands, starred in many cabaret shows and is the recipient of the Manhattan Association of Cabaret’s (MAC) Hanson Award and a Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist. She was named Best Piano Bar Entertainer of the Year by In Theatre Magazine, and Cabaret Scenes Magazine selected her as one of the Top Acts of the Century in January 2000. In 1999, she recorded her smash hit Big Band album, A Wrinkle In Swingtime, with arrangements by Fred Barton. That same year, she was chosen by the City of Sydney, Australia’s Manager of Cultural Affairs and Protocol, to be the guest star and co-judge of their Cabaret Convention. In 2002, she starred in the East Coast tour of the big band musical, Forever Swing. Elena has twice appeared at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention and at countless other venues. Her recordings can be heard on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Sirius XM and radio stations across the country and around the world.
JESSE LUTRELL spent 7 years singing and slinging in the notorious show tune basement, Marie’s Crisis, before embarking on a solo career that has taken him around the world. He will be headlining with his band at the Delray Beach Playhouse in Sunny Florida, March 6th, following a run as Gaston in Beauty & the Beast in Ft Lauderdale. This spring look for him on the boards as Shakespeare in Something Rotten at multiple theatres.
JENNIFER PACE is an actress and singer who has performed in numerous theatres and clubs throughout the USA and abroad. She has been a regular performer in the cabaret/piano bar scene weekly in New York City for many years in such esteemed venues as Marie’s Crisis, 88’s, Don’t Tell Mama, Brandy’s Piano Bar and Windows on the World. Jennifer has played Pattie in Smokey Joe’s Cafe and Vicki in The Full Monty. Most recently, Jennifer portrayed Ms. Bette Midler in an original musical at the Midtown Manhattan Theatre Festival in NYC and received an award for outstanding actress in a musical. Jennifer has also performed and produced many of her own cabaret shows, such as Rosemary Clooney-Tenderly, An evening of Cole Porter and On Holiday: The music of Billie Holiday, just to name a few. She has also been a featured as performer in Mexico at the Hard Rock Resort, as part of Atlantis Events. A graduate of NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing and a native New Yorker, Jennifer comes from a family of professional musiciansand has two albums of standards recorded with her father, GARY PACE, who joins her at PIANO BAR LIVE!
MICHAEL KIRK LANE is an award-winning cabaret performer and 3-time MAC nominee, including one for Piano Bar Entertainer, from his days singing and slinging at Don’t Tell Mama. He is now known to cabaret-goers for his solo shows, as well as his position as House Manager at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Michael’s current show, Just Because, returns to Don’t Tell Mama on January 27, 2020, 1/27/2020 at 7pm. NiteLife Exchange said of his current show, “Go see Michael Kirk Lane… just because. Just because it’s a lovely show & just because Michael is a talent you should know!”
MELROSE JOHNSON will soon start her second contract on the Norwegian Escape in Broadway’s After Midnight (trio). She currently sings with the First Presbyterian Church of Newark and Trilogy Opera Company. Melrose dedicates performing to her late father, Melvin Johnson.
