Michele Brourman’ s “Let’s Order In” Features Special Guest, Billy Stritch, Saturday, September 15

Singer-songwriter Michele Brourman celebrates the release of her new CD, The Price of Love, with Let’s Order In, with special guest Billy Stritch. The show plays at Pangea on Saturday, September 15th at 7 PM featuring new tunes from the CD, as well as familiar songs, about love, lust, takeout and everything in between! To compliment the album, Brourman and co-producer Stephan Oberhoff have produced a video of the title song—a heartfelt tribute to the relationship between animal lovers and their special four-footed friends: The Price Of Love video

Brourman has been making up songs and singing them since she was three years old. Her well-known “My Favorite Year,” has been recorded by Michael Feinstein, Dame Cleo Laine, Margaret Whiting, Billy Stritch and frequent collaborator Amanda McBroom. She’s written and produced the songs for 18 animated features for Universal Studios, including the Land Before Time series, as well as writing for Reba McIntyre, Donnie Osmond, Olivia Newton-John and others. Brourman’s work has garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim. Her work for the theater includes the scores for the musicals “Dangerous Beauty” and “The Belle of Tombstone.”

Billy Stritch is one of the premier singer-pianists on the New York and national jazz and cabaret scenes. He began his career in Houston, Texas, where he formed the vocal trio Montgomery, Plant and Stritch. The trio performed widely from 1983 until disbanding in 1990. A chance meeting with Liza Minnelli in March 1991 resulted in her asking him to create vocal arrangements for Liza Stepping Out at Radio City Music Hall. In addition to his 25-year collaboration with Minnelli, he has performed his own shows in concert halls and nightclubs across the country, is the co-writer of the Grammy-winning song “Does He Love You” and is the pianist for Jim Caruso’s Cast Party open mic night every Monday at New York’s Birdland Jazz Club.
