Maria Corsaro, Kati Neiheisel and Gregory Toroian Perform “Love Is” at Pangea on Friday, February 4 and Sunday, February 6

Maria Corsaro, Kati Neiheisel and Gregory Toroian present Love Is on Friday, February 4 at 7 PM and Sunday, February 6 at 1 PM at Pangea. With Toroian, who music directs, at the piano, are Skip Ward on bass and David Silliman on drums. The show is directed by Geoffrey Stoner.

The trio sing songs of love, exploring the perceived realities of what love is and the creative fantasies of what love can be. The set list includes classics by by Michel LeGrand, Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Kenny Loggins, Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart, Charles Aznavour and more!

Maria Corsaro recently completed a successful run of her show, You Taught My Heart to Sing, with the Gregory Toroian trio and directed by Sue Matsuki, at Pangea. The jazz-inspired songs were ones in which lyrics were added to instrumental compositions—sometimes years later.

Kati Neiheisel is a 2018 MAC Award nominee for her New York debut, Among the Stars, performed at Don’t Tell Mama with musical director/arranger Gregory Toroian. Her current show, Yesterday…Once More, with the Gregory Toroian trio and directed by Lina Koutrakos, celebrates the musical legacy of the Carpenters.

Gregory Toroian, musical director, arranger, singer-songwriter, teacher, and jazz musician has been featured is a 2020 Bistro Award winner for Outstanding Collaboration with Sue Matsuki. In addition to working with such artists as Tony Bennett, Jon Hendricks, Cab Calloway, Donna Summer, Melissa Errico, and Jane Olivor, he has appeared in almost every jazz club and cabaret in New York. He has toured with principal dancers from the New York City Ballet and has made numerous radio and television appearances.

Tickets are $25, cash only, at the door. There is an additional $20 food/beverage minimum.
