As they celebrate 25 years in the business, the owners of The Palm Cabaret and Bar will open their sister cabaret, “Coco by The Palm.” Only, a five-minute walk away and located in the heart of Zona Romantica at Francisco I Madero #289, Zona Romantica, Coco’s will most certainly double (if not triple) the amazing show options that entertainment lovers have counted on at The Palm over the years. Workers are finishing off this new space with its anticipated debut in early November.

Capped the night off with a visit to a new place near my house called the Social Clib. Maybe one of the coolest bars I have ever been in. Many rooms decorated in a 1920’s speakeasy art deco theme with live mellow jazz on the weekends and a very cool retro drink menu. I love this place. It’s hard to find no big sign. Just a small black door with red SC painted on it. It’s right next door to Tunnel Bar. Adds to the speak easy motif. This place is very cool I loved it. Only complaint is they don’t take debit or credit cards like a lot of places in PV and they should given the type of clientele they are trying to attract. Other than that I think this place will be a big hit and adds a lot the the PV club scene. They don’t open till 9 PM but go till 3 or 4 in the morning. Beautiful decor comfortable chairs great lighting music isn’t to loud you can easily talk to your friends.

Garbo Piano & Jazz Bar
Garbo has been described as a martini bar with live music and dim lighting.
According to Fodor’s, “This isn’t necessarily the kind of place where you’ll strike up a conversation with the guy on the next barstool; rather, it’s an upscale place to go with friends for a sophisticated, air-conditioned drink or two. A musician plays piano or gentle jazz on weekend nights at 10:30 during high season, less often the rest of the year. Garbo, renowned for its martinis, is primarily a gay club, but is straight friendly and is open nightly from 6 pm to 2 am.”
