This publication’s “Cabaret Katie!” columnist, singer Katie McGrath, presents Friends in Low Places on Saturday, November 7 at 7 pm at Don’t Tell Mama—indoors! The show is directed by Lina Koutrakos, with Rick Jensen as Music Director.
There is a strict COVID compliance protocol in place. A maximum of 30 people only will be permitted, with social distancing in place to separate tables and parties. Masks are required and temperatures will be taken at the door. Staff wears masks at all times. Hand sanitizer is readily available, and staff wipes tables and seats with disinfectant when tables turn.
McGrath became a Garth Brooks fan in 1990 when the release of his first album coincided with her move to Dallas, TX. Dallas didn’t last but her affection for Garth did. Katie’s new offering shares music from Brooks and her other favorite country and crossover artists. Music director, arranger, composer and performer Rick Jensen confesses to being a country music fan himself. “Please tell no one.”
There is no cover charge but there is a CASH ONLY two-drink minimum plus a food item for the table. There will be a tip jar, and any donations will go to New York Common Pantry.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 7pm. For reservations, E-mail: joshua@donttellmamanyc.com
