MAC is looking for a few members who would like to join the MAC Board of Directors and volunteer their time to help serve this wonderful, much-loved community.
These are the requirements for being on the MAC Board:
– you need to be a MAC member at the time you seek to join the Board and must maintain your MAC membership for the entire time you are on the Board
– you must be available and able to attend almost all of our Board meetings which are held in person in the Theater District at 7pm on the third Wednesday of each month
– you should be willing to commit, as a general rule, to frequently attending the MAC events we present for the community, such as our Open mics, our Community Chorus meetups, MAC to School, the MAC Awards, etc.,
– you can expect to be responsible for helping to coordinate and run our programs, brainstorm new ideas, serve on our committees, assist our members with answering their questions and helping to resolve any MAC related issues they may have, and just generally helping to support our community.
– all MAC members are welcome to submit! If you are a detail-oriented person with experience in database management and website management (or willing to learn), we especially hope you will consider being part of the Board.
All MAC members are welcome to submit their candidacy. If you are interested in being a Board member or want to talk about it and find out more, please email us. If you would like to be considered to run for the Board, please send a headshot photo and a short statement (about. 200 words or so) about why you would like to join the Board.
