Singer-pianist and educator, Alexis Cole has launched a teaching site, www.JazzVoice.org. Students may take lessons one on one, or subscribe to the site for just $15/month to participate in weekly masterclasses with different teachers every week.
Says Cole, “The idea for the site was borne from my recent teaching video series, and the realization that all my colleagues were also home not touring and having more time to teach. I wanted to help my friends to fill the gap in their incomes. I wanted to help my students stay engaged even when they can’t go to jam sessions, and go hear music or study in person.”
