Forever Happy – A Celebration of Danny Bacher touched hearts and lifted spirits—just as Danny would want it. And so it was that at The Triad Theater on Sunday, June 8, friends, family and colleagues gathered in person and via livestream to honor him, and kick off funding of scholarships in his name at The Educational Arts Team (Jersey City, NJ) and The Jazz Loft (Stony Brook, LI),
Danny left us unexpectedly on December 15, 2024, 
just short of his 47th birthday. Even at that young age he’d already left a legacy of joy as a singer-songwriter, saxophonist, comedian, magician and author. He considered himself foremost an entertainer, a vocation in which he built strength upon strength.
The tribute was co-produced and hosted by Laura Slutsky and singer-songwriter-emcee Marcus Goldhaber, with music direction by pianist Jon Weber, and bassist Tom Hubbard and drummer Clint de Ganon.
Highlights included performances by the Bacher family: Jane Joel, Josh, Desi and Millie; the Royal Bopsters, Bob Greenberg, DeWiitt Fleming, Todd and Adam Stone, Deborah Silver, Jeff Harnar and Lianne Marie Dobbs.
