Dr. Bradley’s Fabulous Functional Narcissism Returns as a Benefit for The Actors Fund on Wednesday, February 13th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre

Dr. Bradley Jones return to the stage on Feb. 13th, with a performance of his coming-of-age story, Dr. Bradley’s Fabulous Functional NarcissismThe Psychoanalytic Odyssey of a Once Glorified Chorus Boy, to benefit The Actors Fund. The show plays at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street on Wednesday, February 13 at 7pm.

Dr. Bradley’s Fabulous Functional Narcissism…The Psychoanalytic Odyssey of a Once Glorified Chorus Boy applies wit and his psychoanalytic expertise (that shingle is REAL) to true tales of his early childhood as a budding theater queen, nearly ten years on Broadway in A Chorus Line, backstage life and excessive drug use, living through the AIDS pandemic, a murder and making his decision to pursue a new career. In the penultimate scene, he recounts his own 15 years of psychoanalysis in under seven minutes in tap shoes.

The show features mainly the music of Jones’ milieu: Broadway standards including the songs of Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Harold Arlen, Ray Heindorf, Brian Yorkey and more. Dr. Bradley’s Fabulous Functional Narcissism is directed by KT Sullivan, artistic director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation, and is supported by The Freudians, a quartet led by Music Director, Mike Pettry.
