Award-winning singer-songwriter and performer Dawn Derow presents Sing Happy on Tuesday, November 18 and Monday, December 1, both at 7 PM at The Triad Theater. The show is a revue celebrating the unforgettable women of Kander and Ebb, with direction by the award-winning David Sabella (Chicago), choreography by Jason Reiff, and at the piano, music director-arranger Ian Herman (Grease),
From Cabaret to Woman of the Year, Kiss of the Spider Woman to Steel Pier, Derow celebrates Kander & Ebb’s daring heroines—women who lived, loved, lost and triumphed with unapologetic fire. From the glittering chaos of Sally Bowles to Velma Kelly’s killer instinct, the women of Kander & Ebb don’t just sing — they seduce, survive, and steal the show. Special guest appearances at each performance include: Aisha de Haas (Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk, RENT and Caroline, Or Change) in November and 10-time MAC Award-winning Broadway actress Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Sunset Boulevard, And the World Goes ‘Round) in December.
