The Daryl Sherman Trio return to Mezzrow Jazz on Tuesday, July 22, with shows at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. A gently swinging singer-pianist, Sherman will be joined by guitarist James Chirillo and bassist Boots Maleson.
The first set will include Rodgers and Hart, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, and the second set will have lots of Ellington, plus Sherman originals..
Sherman, with a full repertoir of the American popular songbook, has been a part of the New York City jazz scene since the mid-70s. She also possesses the ability to make herself at home in any musical setting. From her early stints at Sinatra hang-outs like Jilly’s, there’s hardly a jazz joint, supper club or hotel Sherman has missed.
