My latest photo journal captures featured moments at Green Room 42 as the American Songbook Association celebrated and presented the Fourth Annual Darrell Henline Award to “The Crown Prince of Cabaret,” Steve Ross. The evening also featured the presentation of the 2025 Pomranz Grants awarded to individual artists or artist collectives working in the cabaret or performance art field: Justin Dylan Nastro, Vicki Burns, and Susan Derry.
It was a wonderfully musical evening packed full of stars who shared moving stories of their connection with Ross, introduced by host Carolyn Montgomery. Performers included (in order of appearance): Ron Spivak, Hector Ubarry, Judy Carmichael, Jean Brassard, Mark Nadler and KT Sullivan, Eric Michael Gillet, Tom Anderson, Eva Swan, Zachary Stains, Dorthy Wiggins, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano, Pomranz, Peter Mintun, Shana Farr, and Frank Dain—who presented the Award to Ross.
