Al Hirschfield Exhibit, “Strokes of Genius,” Is on View from September 9 – 20 at the Algonquin Hotel

The Al Hirschfeld Foundation with Helicline Fine Art and The Algonquin Hotel, Autograph Collection is mounting a new exhibition of artwork by the artist Al Hirschfeld, Strokes of Genius: Hirschfeld at the Algonquin, on view in the hotel’s legendary Oak Room from Tuesday, September 9 through Saturday, September 20, daily from noon – 7 PM,

The exhibit features original drawings and hand-signed limited edition prints from the worlds of the stage, screen and concert hall. This exhibition marks the first New York City gallery exhibition of Al Hirschfield’s work in over ten years. Strokes of Genius offers over two dozen works including Judy Garland at The Palace; Yul Brynner and Gertrude Lawrence in The King and I; Gwen Verdon in Redhead; Alexander Woollcott, Robert Benchley, Carol Burnett, Gershwin and more.
