As indoor dining is scheduled to begin at 50% capacity on March 19, The Green Room 42 has already made plans to re-open, with Covid-19 protocols in place, on Friday, Aprll 2 and Saturday, April 3, with Broadway diva Lillias White. On the schedule, in addition to live performances, are rooftop movie musical viewings.
Also booked are Eva Longoria on Saturday, April 10, Erika Henningsen on Saturday, April 24 (and May 1 and 8), and Tony winner Donna McKechne in November 2021. Movie screenings, all on Thursday nights on the venues outdoor terrace, will include Cats, Shrek the Musical, Memphis, Chicago, West Side Story, Cabaret and more.
The Green Room 42 will open with all Covid-19 guidelines in place. Reservations are available for parties of 2 to 10 guests only. Total capacity will be limited to ensure tables are spaced appropriately. New York state law also mandates all guests must order a sufficient amount of food for the table to accompany any wine, beer or alcoholic beverage orders.
All seating areas will be given a 15-minute cleaning and sanitizing after every use and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the premises. Additionally, markers will be visible for social distancing reminders and identifying the flow of traffic. As per State requirements, the guest making the reservation will provide contact information. All guests are required to wear a mask or face covering while on the premises, except when seated at their table. Over all, service protocols have been designed to minimize guest interaction and all situations where 6-foot social distancing cannot be upheld. Work areas are designated for staff, who are required to adhere to the CDC and DOH personal hygiene requirements for proper hand washing, sanitizing of work stations and cleaning of cloth masks.
