The Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation is presenting a virtual concert series for the holidays, A Christmas with Jazz, from Saturday, December 12 through Saturday, December 19 from 7-9 PM ET each night. There’s a different performer each evening playing Holiday music, opening with Shannon Pinkney on the keys with Jackie Lennon, President of International Women in Jazz as featured vocalist. The week ends with special guests pianist-singer Daryl Sherman and bass master Boots Maleson.
This series of performances will make it possible for the Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation to help 25 senior jazz musicians to become technically proficient so that they may be able to work, record and perform from the safety and security of their homes. Contributions from this event will allow the Foundation to purchase equipment, materials and supplies to outfit the needs of each player.
