Triple-threat actor, baritone vocalist Martin Bonventre presents his debut album Swingin’ in a New Dimension on Saturday, January 31 at 7 PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Musical support is by Jason Yeager (piano), Boots Maleson (bass), Tony Tedesco (drums), Greg Ruvolo (trumpet, flugelhorn) and Geoff Burke (flutes, saxophones).
Bonventre has a background in regional and summer stock theater and theatrical tours, and draws inspiration from the Great American Songbook, golden-age musical theatre and classic male singers such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones. He is also a member of the indie-rock collective, Machinegum, formed in 2018, known for its unique approach to music that integrates art gallery installations and interactive elements with their musical performances.
