Vocalist Chris Pinnella brings his 8-piece chamber orchestra to 54 Below on Thursday, March 26 at 7 PM. Musical direction is by Michael Gilch, at the keys. Special guest is Aneesa Folds (Freestyle Love Supreme, Ragtime national tour).
The evening of classics reimagined includes a string quartet combined with a rock band: Gary Mazzaroppi – bass, Mark Cocheo – guitar, Joe DeVico – drums, Kate Goddard – violin, Claire Wellin – violin, Will Marshall – viola, and Jenn Fantacionne – cello. Featured is music by the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Webb, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, the Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, the Righteous Brothers, Leonard Cohen and more.
Pinnella’s career spans a variety of musical styles, from rock and pop to classical and jazz, often blending these influences into his own unique sound. He has toured the world with the progressive arena rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra and has shared the stage with Tony® award winning icon Julie Andrews, among others.
