Thomas G. Waite’s “Lucky Man – A Warrior’s Journey,” a Rock Monologue, Plays from Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 22 at the Gene Frankel Theatre

Veteran actor and musician Thomas G. Waites steps into the spotlight to perform Lucky Man – A Warrior’s Journey, a  personal one-man rock monologue backed by his band Heartbreak Waites. The show plays from Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 22 at the Gene Frankel Theatre.

Directed by Joe Danisi, Lucky Man chronicles Waites rise, fall and redemption on his wild ride through fame and flameout. The show begins in 1976, just after being kicked out of Juilliard’s Drama Division, and rockets ahead two years later when, at just 23, Waites hits it big with starring roles in On the Yard, The Warriors, …And Justice for All and The Thing. But eventually, alcohol destroyes his career, marriage and family before he finds redemption, serenity and hope through AA, friendship, music, forgiveness and the power of love.

Lucky Man is a musical memoir, with Waites backed by his band, Heartbreak Waites, featuring Tony Daniels (Musical Director-lead guitar), Cedric Allen Hills (keyboard, percussion and vocals) and Annie McGovern (vocals).

Lucky Man plays on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM and on Sundays at 3 PM, and runs for 85 minutes. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by visiting  luckyman.eventbrite.com

The Gene Frankel Theatre is located at 24 Bond Street, New York, NY
