The Branford Marsalis Quartet Debuts at Smoke from Tuesday-Sunday, September 17-22

In a rare New York City appearance, saxophonist Branford Marsalis makes his SMOKE Jazz Club debut, from Tuesday-Sunday, September 17-22 with sets at  7:00 PM and 9:00 PM and additional 10:30 PM sets on Friday and Saturday.

Marsalis leads his quartet of pianist Joey Calderazzo, bassist Eric Revis and drummer Justin Faulkner in its first New York City club date since 2019. Marsalis is an NEA Jazz Master, Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee, equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead–but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this  ensemble is noted for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics.
