Multi-lingual crossover artist, Anna Bergman, sings audience favorites from her cabaret, concert, symphony and stage performances in a new show, with music director and pianist Alex Rybeck, at the Beach Cafe, Saturday, March 30th at 9:30 pm. Songwriters include Sondheim, Rodgers, Hart & Hammerstein, Porter, Coward, Bock & Harnick, Guettel, Lerner & Loewe, Legrand, Lehar, Poulenc and Puccini with songs from Bergman’s favorite stage roles in such shows as The Light in the Piazza, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady and The Merry Widow.
Bergman enjoys an international career, from London, Paris and Moscow to South America, Asia and India and as a soloist for presidents, diplomats and royalty, including Queen Elizabeth. She has starred at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the White House, Kennedy Center, Kravis Center, Caramoor, Feinstein’s/54 Below, Guild Hall, Café Royal, Crazy Coqs, Manaus Operaand many more. She has sung at private salons and international festivals, with symphony orchestras and on television specials, including her PBS concert. Theatre and opera roles range from Chekov, Shaw, Mamet, Sondheim, Lerner & Loewe, Porter and Guettel to Lehar, Strauss, Mozart and Puccini.
