The Alexis Cole Trio celebrates the legacy of Bronx-born jazz great Gigi Gryce on Saturday, May 10 at 7 PM at the Bronx Music Hall. The evening weaves performances of Gryce’s timeless compositions with readings from his biography by author Noal Cohen. A jazz saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist, composer, arranger and educator, Gryce’s performing career was relatively short but intensely influential.
