Ambassador Productions presents the 23rd Annual CabaretFest in Provincetown, MA, from Monday, June 5 through Sunday, June 11, themed Sondheim by the Sea celebrates the musical life and work of the late Stephen Sondheim. This year, CabaretFest is dedicated to the memory of musician, arranger and songwriter Mike Renzi.
Many CabaretFest favorites will be returning, such as Michael Garin and Mardie Millit, Sidney Myer, Meg Flather, David Rhodes, Tracy Stark & Angela Bacari. Nicolas King is also returning as the Special Guest Star of CabaretFest.
Several artists will be making their CabaretFest debut, including Ray DeForest, Sean Patrick Murtaugh, Karen Mack and Elliott Roth, Lynn Flickinger, The Vodka Stingers (six singers put together by Jo Brisbane), San Francisco’s Charles Evans and Provincetown residents Jeff Tagen and Vivienne LaBarbera.
In addition to Cabaret performances, there will be master classes and workshops taught by Angela Bacari, Sidney Myer, Ray DeForest, David Rhodes, Tracy Stark and CabaretFest Producer, Patricia Fitzpatrick. There will also be the famous Open Mic Party, hosted by crooner and comedian Warren Schein, The Friday Night Follies featuring all 30 of performers with musical directors Tracy Stark and Tom La Mark and The Saturday Night Gala with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Warren Schein.
Closing out the week-long event, the Sunday in the Park Brunch will feature the Tracy Stark Trio and graduates of the master classes, with a special presentation of the Mike Renzi Spotlight Award to a master class student who performed during CabaretFest 2022. Nicolas King and Angela Bacari will present the award at the Crown & Anchor, where all of this year’s shows are being performed.
