The nominees for the 76th annual Tony Awards have been announced by Funny Girl star Lea Michele and MJ Tony Award winner Myles Frost. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 11 at the United Palace. Att the eligibility cutoff on April 27 there were 38 productions in contention for nominations.
Previously announced non-competitive Tony Awards will be given at the ceremony to director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who will receive the Isabelle Stevenson Special Tony Award; stage manager Lisa Dawn Cave, TDF Executive Director Victoria Bailey and theatrical accountant Robert Fried will each receive Tony Honors for Excellence.
